Fistral Beach in Newquay is the most celebrated surf beach in Britain and one of the most recognised surfing venues in Europe, a northwest-facing bay that receives consistent Atlantic swell producing reliable waves that have made Newquay the capital of British surfing since the sport was introduced to Cornwall in the 1960s.
